Alligator toby jug creamer white - Royal Bayreuth circa 1920

Alligator creamer toby jug in a white colorway produced by Royal Tettau Porcelain Factory of Bavaria, Germany, circa 1920 using its Royal Bayreuth tradename. An alligator is a large reptile in the Crocodilia order in the family Alligatoridae. An average adult American alligator's weight and length is 790 pounds and 3 feet. Adult alligators are black or dark olive-brown with white undersides, while juveniles have bright yellow or whitish stripes which sharply contrast against their dark hides, providing them additional camouflage amongst reeds and wetland grasses. The alligator's tail curls up to form the handle of the jug.
