Alice toby jug produced by Tony Wood Studio of Fenton, England, in a 1982 limited edition for Perennis and offered on a subscription basis. "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" is an 1865 English children's novel by Lewis Carroll. It details the story of a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of anthropomorphic creatures. A child in the mid-Victorian era, the character originated in stories told by Carroll to entertain the Liddell sisters while rowing on the Isis with his friend Robinson Duckworth. Characterized by Carroll as "loving and gentle", "courteous to all", "trustful", and "wildly curious", Alice has been variously seen as clever, well-mannered, and skeptical of authority. With the Cheshire Cat seated on her left shoulder, Alice is standing against a tree trunk with a branch forming the handle of the jug.  She stands 3 1/2" tall.  This is one of sixteen toby jug in the Alice in Wonderland Series.

We also have for sale other characters from this series including the Duchess, Carpenter, Walrus, Queen of Hearts, White Knight, Caterpillar, Jabberwocky, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, King of Hearts, Lion, March Hare, White Rabbit, and Unicorn.  Send us an email if interested to complete your set.
